THE Met, in Bury, enjoyed two sell-out seasons in 2006 and its newly-released programme for Spring 2007 promises more of the same.

The theatre programme for the spring includes the Penny Dreadful theatre company's The Bitches Ball, on February 7, a funny, moving and dramatic account of high-flying courtesan Mary Robinson.

Miracle Theatre then brings the HG Wells classic, The Time Machine, on February 22, and the acclaimed Hull Truck performs the hilarious My Favourite Summer, on March 8.

The monthly R&B club continues with Ian Siegal, on February 16 and Adrian Byron Burns, on April 27.

The new Winelight Club, starting this month, will bring the best in unsigned talent, while the children's theatre programme includes a new production from M6, Birthday Tales, an adaptation of Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, on March 3, and the tearjerking classic The Little Mermaid, on April 4.
