THERE was plenty of ghoulish goings on at Rivington Barn when the witches of Adlington descended on the leisure complex.
But it was all in a good cause and the witches created a magical atmosphere to charm money out of visitors for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation at the Royal Preston Hospital.
Witch Marina McHugh and her coven have been raising money for the hospital for the past five years after Marje Taylor, a fellow witch, was treated there.
They were given their title Witches of Adlington for wearing black all the time.
And there was plenty fun at this latest fundraiser.
Mrs McHugh said: "We had around 350 guests there and really good entertainment. We are still counting the money to see how much we raised."
In December, the witches handed over £10,000 in funds they raised in 2006.
