Bolton Ladies staged a brilliant fightback to keep their title hopes on course in their top-of-the-table clash with LA Metros.

The league leaders suffered a terrible start and trailed 4-0 after just 20 minutes, but Bolton staged a superb comeback to earn a share of the points.

After conceding two early goals, Bolton captain Vicky Warburton made a tactical decision to try and settle the team.

This seemed to work, but then LA Metros scored another and got a fourth goal soon after.

But this sparked Bolton into life and substitute Charlotte Harrison rallied her team and won a penalty corner - and Vicky Hirst blasted into the bottom corner to start the revival.

This roused the team and, following a great through ball from Ashton Duerden, Jessica Mortimer pulled another back with a fantastic first-time effort before half-time.

Duerden made it 4-3 after the break, and the comeback was complete when, from another penalty corner, a great move involving Kerry Barnes and Vicky Hirst allowed Hirst to slot home the leveller.

The ladies second team drew 0-0 with Bury and Elton Ladies.

l Bolton Badgers' home game with Southport was abandoned at half-time due to the fog. Guy Crompton's goal two minutes before the break had cancelled out the visitors' 10th-minute opener and the game ended 1-1.
