A BOOK of remembrance has been opened in tribute to tragic holiday maker Adrian Fletcher.

Mr Fletcher, known to friends as Flecky, died after falling from the top floor of a hotel in the Mexican resort of Cancun on February 1.

He is reported to have had an argument with his girlfriend of nine years, Lisa Miller, shortly before his fall. The couple had flown to the five-star resort with a party of people, all from Little Lever, to see their friends, John Rourke and Lisa Cooksey, marry in a ceremony that was later cancelled due to the tragedy.

The book was opened at an event about slavery last night and is being organised by the Respect Counselling and Mentoring Project.

Any wishing to sign the book can do so at Respect's headquarters at 170 Chorley Old Road until March 31.

Mr Fletcher, aged 34, of Grosvenor Street, Little Lever, was buried following a funeral at Bolton Parish Church last month.
