SINCE the turn of the New Year - Wanderers have been going backwards in the race to qualify for Europe.
With hopes of Champions League football next season, the club entered 2007 on the back of a five-game winning streak, but a New Year's Day defeat at Anfield heralded a rocky series of results.
They have held on to fifth place thus far, but with teams around them finally starting to gather momentum, it is a question of how long they can remain in contention in this vein of form.
