GUESTS at the Mayor of Westhoughton's annual charity ball have raised about £5,000.
Some 200 people enjoyed a five-course meal, entertainment and a raffle at the Masonic Hall, on Saturday. Proceeds will go to the mayor, Cllr George Penny's chosen charities - the Ichthyosis Society and Birtenshaw Special School, in Bolton.
