FOOTAGE of popular comic singer and poet Hovis Presley has surfaced on YouTube.
The seven-minute clip dates from an appearance by Hovis on Channel 4 in 1997.
The comic, real name Richard McFarlane, performs three of his songs, including I Rely On You and There Goes Frugal Dougal.
Hovis died in 2005 at the age of 44. He suffered a heart attack while he was being treated for a chest infection at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
