A SCHOOLGIRL has been left with a broken leg after being hit by a car in Moss Bank Way – close to Holy Infants Primary School.
The accident, involving a Toyota Yaris, happened just after 8.30am today.
The girl, aged 11, was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
It is understood the girl may have darted out into the road.
The male driver stopped at the scene.
Police were called to the scene by the ambulance service and are investigating.
