1. VE Day 2015 commemorations, Friday, Victoria Square, from 3pm
War veterans, politicians and members of the public will come together to honour the 70th anniversary of the day Victory in Europe was declared during World War Two. The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Martin Donaghy, will lead the borough’s commemorations in Victoria Square on Friday and a special beacon will be lit to mark the occasion.
2. The Decoy / Sugarcage, the Alma Inn, Bradshawgate, Friday from 9pm
The Decoy and Sugarcage play at Bolton's alternative music venue. Free admission from 9pm.
3. Write Out Loud with Louise Fazackerley and Steve Pottinger, Bolton Socialist Club, Saturday from 8.00pm (admission free).
Part of the Live from Worktown programme featuring an array of creative talent, writing and performance.
4. Boy Gets Girl, Bolton Little Theatre, Saturday 7.30pm and Sunday 2pm.
5. Bon Giovi, The Railway Venue in Bromley Cross, from 8pm.
Billed as the number one tribute band to Bon Jovi playing classics such as Livin’ on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name and Wanted Dead of Alive.
