THE Rainbow flag is flying high in Bolton this weekend.
Bolton Library and Museum raised the flag as part of a global celebration of gender and sexual diversities.
Tomorrow will mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia to raise awareness and defend the right of LGBT – lesbian, gay bi-sexual and transgender rights.
Flying the flag won support on twitter, Bolton Pride tweeted: “Great that @BoltonLMS are flying the rainbow flag for @may17IDAHOT #boltonpride #IDAHOT2015”
The day is also being celebrated by Bank Street Unitarian Chapel in Bank Street, which is also displaying the flag, with the Minister Stephen Lingwood tweeting: “@BoltonUnitarian supports #IDAHOT @PrideBolton".
