KEVIN Rapley's equaliser gave Leigh a lifeline when they grabbed their third successive draw to keep in touch with relegation rivals Vauxhall Motors.
Stuart Humphreys' side went in to the game with a two-point gap separating them from Vauxhall and that still remains after they could only draw with Hinckley, while second bottom Scarborough were defeated 3-1 at home to Nuneaton Borough.
The Railwaymen had a promising start and took the lead in the 27th minuten minute through midfielder Steve Porter, but found themselves a goal behind at the break when Phil Trainer equalised in the 35th minute, before Moor Green went in front on the stroke of half-time through Junior English.
Leigh managed to secure their third draw in succession when Rapley levelled the scores with 25 minutes left.
They continue the survival fight this afternoon at fellow strugglers Gainsborough.
