ARSENE Wenger has warned Wanderers they will be up against a confident Arsenal side in the fourth-place showdown at The Emirates on Saturday.

The Gunners ended a run of three demoralising defeats with a scoreless draw at Newcastle yesterday, to maintain a two-point lead over Wanderers with the bonus of a game in hand and far superior goal difference.

And although they were still not at their best, Wenger says the point on Tyneside was a morale-booster.

"We wanted to win the game, but at the end of the day it was a game we did not want to lose," the Arsenal boss said after the St James' Park stalemate.

Despite Saturday's shock defeat by West Ham - the first time they have lost at The Emirates - Wenger believes his players are still focused and determined to finish in the top four. And he is confident Wanderers will feel the backlash.

"When you have disappointments, you need to rebuild the confidence and a 0-0 draw is not bad for us," he added.

"We want to beat them (Bolton) at home and we think we are capable of doing that.

"We want to be in the Champions League and we will focus on giving everything to do it."
