THE Royal Bolton Hospital has a new non-executive director.
Dr Sunita Thomson, a Bolton Wanderers fan, had a career in the pharmaceutical industry and is currently director of Goal development consultancy.
She is also a magistrate, a civil and commercial mediator, a volunteer mentor at Bolton Lads and Girls Club and is on the management committee for Bolton's Black and Asian recognition awards.
Cliff Morris, chairman of the hospital trust board, said: "Sunita has a wealth of experience and skills which will be a real asset to the trust and the patients we care for.
"We are all looking forward to working with her."
Dr Thomson lives in Heaton with her husband George and her two children, Kiran and Anjuli.
Her appointment is until February 28, 2011, and she will receive £5,800 a year.
