MANUFACTURERS short of funds to exhibit at a trade show at the Reebok Stadium next month can apply for grants of up to 50 per cent of the cost.
Funds have been made available by Bolton Council to allow exhibitors to recoup half the cost of displaying at North-west Manufacturing on May 9 and 10.
Organisers say businesses who qualify for the grants will be gathered on a Bolton "pavilion" to give them greater impact than in individual stands.
A spokesman for the show's organisers, ETES, said: "An exhibition is the fastest way of developing new business but for many smaller companies it is uncharted territory.
"The fund available is not a bottomless pit; it is capped and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis."
More than 3,000 senior engineers and purchasing managers from across North-west industry are expected to attend the event.
