A CLIMBER suffered a broken arm and pelvis after falling 50 feet down a quarry face.
Suhal Bux, aged 27, was climbing with friends at Cadshaw quarry, at Turton and Entwistle reservoir, when he fell.
Paramedics and Bolton Mountain Rescue team were called and the man had to be moved on to a longboard and then a mountain rescue stretcher. Police closed the A666 near its junction with Greens Arms Road while the man was stretchered to an ambulance.
He is "comfortable" at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
Eleven members of the Bolton Mountain Rescue team and two ambulances dealt were called to the incident, which happened at about 7.30pm on Saturday.
