MAL Loye has sent out a chilling "you ain't seen nothing yet" warning to Lancashire's county rivals.

The Old Trafford batsman plundered over two thousand runs in all competitions last season, culminating in being named the club's 2006 LBM Player of the Year.

That was soon followed by a call-up to England's one-day squad for the Commonwealth Bank series in Australia - but not the ongoing World Cup in the West Indies.

That omission hurt the 34 year-old right-hander, and he admits that he is determined to move up another gear this season to help banish the memory.

"It's strange because I personally feel that I didn't play very well last year," he explained. "But now I actually feel better about my game, and I'm looking forward to improving on last year."

"I was quite pleased with my one-day form and Championship haul if I am totally honest, but I certainly do believe that I can go one step better."

"I don't want to put too much pressure on myself, but everyone knows that I will be pushing for that England spot."

The former Northants star admits he has unfinished business with England, along with fulfilling his dream of winning some silverware with Lancashire. And it will send shockwaves through opposing sides, against who he will be aiming to better his haul of eight centuries.
