WITH just eight weeks until the introduction of Home Improvement Packs, Bolton-based solicitors Russell and Russell is predicting a surge in the number of properties being put on the market.
They believe sellers will rush to avoid the cost of producing a Home Improvement Pack, estimated at between £300 and £500 depending on the provider, which must provide buyers with details such as a home's energy performance.
The Home Improvement Pack regulations were re-laid before Parliament on March 29, paving the way for the introduction of the compulsory packs on June 1.
