AMIR Khan's challenge to the top Brits to fight him has been taken up by a trio of boxers.

Willie Limond, Graeme Earl and John Murray have all hit back at the Bolton boxer's taunts and say that they are ready to take on the lightweight who is unbeaten in 12 fights.

Limond has welcomed the challenge for his Commonwealth lightweight title. The Glasgow fighter has been placed in cold storage since winning a unanimous decision against the durable Kpakpo Allotey at Glasgow's Kelvin Hall.

Limond was undaunted by the prospect of a meeting and promised to provide a more legitimate contest than Khan's previous professional fights.

"If he wants a shot at the title then he needs to come to me," said Limond.

"I haven't heard anything but my manager Alex Morrison has been away on holiday so I will speak to him when he gets back.

"At the moment it is just talk but usually there is no smoke without fire. I watched the fight at the weekend and heard the comments about a possible fight with me for the Commonwealth title.

"I have worked hard to get that belt and I am not about to just give it up."

Earl, the former British and Commonwealth lightweight champion, has also challenged boxing's rising star Khan to put his money where his mouth is and take him on in the ring.

The Luton lightweight ace has previously dismissed Khan's title talk saying the 20-year-old needs to prove his qualities before taking on a big fight.

But after further boasts, Earl has snapped and has now even offered to put his WBU world belt on the line at London's ExCel on May 26.

He said: "Khan is putting out that he's not impressed with the likes of me or Kevin Mitchell, but I say enough of the talk, let's get it on. I'm here and waiting. Let's stop wasting time.

"If he thinks he's ready then let's sort it out. Even if he wants it in his back garden I'll fight him there.

"If he wants to, he can have it on May 26 and I'll put aside my world title shot. I can make a defence of my WBU title if he wants.

"It's the only belt he's eligible for anyway because he's not ranked high enough for anything else."

Manchester's Murray is the third challenger to hit back at Khan.

"He was full of bravado and disrespect last week, insulting far more established fighters, but where's his bottle now?

"I took up the challenge by saying I would be willing to fight him in Las Vegas on May 5 when I have my next fight.

"It's on the undercard of possibly the biggest fight in boxing history, but now he's looking for the exit signs."
