GILBERTO is confident Arsenal can end their scoring famine in the showdown with Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have lost their cutting edge, scoring just one goal and taking just one point from their last four games.

That's a run that has put their Champions League position under serious threat, but Gilberto says that, although Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott are all out for the rest of the season, the chances they created in last Saturday's shock home defeat by West Ham and Monday's scoreless draw at Newcastle were encouraging signs.

"Against Newcastle we created a few good chances, but again the ball did not go into the back of the net," the 30-year-old Brazilian said.

"It would have been nice to have got three points, but one is better than nothing.

"It was frustrating not to score again, but if you look at the way we played, the attitude of the team was great.

"Now we just need to continue."

Gilberto added: "We have an important game against Bolton. It will be crucial for us.

"We just have to focus on the next game and what we can do because we have the quality to change the situation when things are not so good.

"This match against Bolton will be decisive for fourth place."
