A MAN who breached a restraining order by texting his ex-partner has been fined £200.
Paul Killeen, aged 38, of Kempston Gardens, Bolton, had been banned from contacting the woman by Bolton Magistrates on February 19, but texted her just eight days later because he wanted to see his two children, aged six and eight.
He pleaded guilty to the breach of the order when he appeared before magistrates yesterday.
Magistrate Ian Hilton said: "This type of order is made for a reason. It is not up to you to decide when to keep to them, they are there to be kept.
"If you breach this again, custody will be imminent. Hopefully you have learned your lesson."
