Band name: The Case

Members names, age and where they are from:

Craig Connor, aged 37, from Bolton

Phil Anderson, aged 41, from Stockport

Steve Crompton, aged 42, from Stockport

Ged Cairns, aged 47, from Tyldesley

Dave Gerrard, aged 35, from Swinton

When and where did you form? The band came from a drunken session with Phil and Steve who decided to start a band around five years ago and have been gigging with the current line-up for around two years.

What is your sound and who are your influences? Very energetic and loud is our style! We cover a lot of popular bands — Oasis, Stone Roses, Charlatans, Courteeners, Kings Of Leon, Killers, Stereophonics, Kasabian, Metallica, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Guns and Roses.

What is the biggest gig you have played to date? The Blind Tiger first birthday supporting The Complete Stone Roses was our biggest and best gig. We love the venue and think it really suits our style of music.

If you are not already, is it your ambition to become professional? Of course to do this as a living would be great. The reality is we are only in this for our shared love of live music and performing.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? A lot older than we are now! Playing great gigs to as many people as possible.

Is there anything unusual or interesting about the band? At a recent private party, the pastie and peas got paid more than the band did! They were Carrs pasties so I guess it's understandable.

Upcoming gigs? We have quite a lot of private gigs this year but you can see us on the following dates — July 11 at The Railway, Stockport; September 5 at The Queens Pub Tyldesley and November 7 at Blind Tiger Bolton.
