Summer finally arrives in Bolton thanks to a tropical treat from St Simon and St Jude's

SUMMER finally came to Bolton last week as St Simon and St Jude ADS took us on a journey to the tropical Islands.

In a cabaret style setting we were presented with an evening's entertainment that was extremely enjoyable.

From the opening number of 'Copacabana' to the grand finale of 'Beach Baby' each member of the 22 strong cast thoroughly entertained a very satisfied audience.

A nice touch to the setting was that of a married couple who had arrived for their second honeymoon and they were sat watching the hotel's evening entertainment. There were some very funny interjections from them that linked the evening's programme.

We were treated to some great solos, duets and dance routines and also some very funny Two Ronnies-style sketches that were very well delivered.

This type of production is a great opportunity for members of a society to show off their many talents which sometimes cannot be achieved through scripted pieces due to the number of roles available.

Every member of the cast worked equally as hard both on stage and off, to present a very relaxed and enjoyable production.
