A last-ditch effort by the Conservatives to block Home Information Packs is unlikely to succeed, according to experts.
The Conservatives plan to table a motion in the Lords this week, which they hope will force a vote on the packs, to be introduced on June 1, which will send the regulations back to Government for more consideration.
But Stephen Crompton, of Russell & Russell Solicitors in Wood Street, which has been granted "early adopter" status as a provider of Hips, said: "There is a possibility that legislation could be held up, but it is unlikely, bearing in mind that Hips are being brought in because of a Labour manifesto commitment."
