Permission sought to improve Farnworth home for disabled resident

PLANS have been put forward to help improve the home of a disabled Farnworth resident.

An application to extend the property on Wordsworth Avenue has been sent to Bolton Council planners.

Proposals include the construct a ground floor bedroom and shower room extension to the rear of the property.

The designs have been developed to provide facilities for a severely disabled resident.

To improve access to the rear of the property a ramped access is also proposed and the extension designed to blend in with the existing property.

Property extension given green light

A DOUBLE storey extension has been granted for a property in Bolton.

The house on Corson Street will be extended into the rear yard by four meters in order to accommodate an upper-floor bathroom and extend the size of the kitchen downstairs.

A small downstairs extension will be demolished to accommodate the new extension.

Bolton Council planners permitted the extension on the grounds that the materials used would match the property and the privacy of neighbours would be protected.

Primary school extension plan

A BOLTON primary school could be extended if plans are approved.

A planning application has been submitted to Bolton Council for the erection of a single-storey extension which will form an enlarged classroom at St Brendan's Roman Catholic Primary School in Brookfold Lane.

The plans also include the installation of a covered play area at the Brookfold Lane school.

The proposals will now come before planning officers at Bolton Council who will decide on whether the work can go ahead.

Plan for to demolish garage

A HALLIWELL resident wants to demolish a garage and extend their property.

Applicant Donna Cullen has applied for permission from Bolton Council to knock down the garage in Chesham Avenue.

The proposals also include plans to build a one storey extension at the front of the house.

Council planners will look at the application before deciding whether to give it the green light.

Bid to extend house

A DEANE property could be extended if plans are given the green light.

Proposals have been submitted by Brendan Ashall to expand his Kirkebrok Road home.

The scheme, if allowed, would see a single storey extension built at the rear of the house.

Bolton Council will now analyse the plans before deciding whether they can go ahead or not.
