FC United capped a magnificent season by adding the League Challenge Cup to their title victory.
A dazzling solo goal by Josh Howard nine minutes from time saw the Rebel Reds overcome Curzon Ashton in their first-ever cup final at the Tameside Stadium last Thursday.
FC fell behind to a Nick Allen strike on 66 minutes but Nicky Platt equalised from the spot a minute later in the battle of the North West Counties League's top two clubs.
And Howard, who had been brought down for the penalty, sealed the game by jinking past four defenders and crashing home from six yards.
