A SECOND man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by police investigating the death of a man in Farnworth.
A 28-year-old man is in police custody for questioning, and an 18-year-old man was previously given bail until January 18.
Police were called to Burnham Walk in Farnworth on at 2am on Saturday following a disturbance.
Mark Carroll, aged 43, died in hospital as a result of the incident, with friends and neighbours paying tributes to a "very nice guy."
Residents said that area was prone to anti-social behaviour, but that generally it is a good, tight knit community.
A Home Office post-mortem examination took place, and police are continuing to investigate the circumstances around Mr Carroll's death.
Anyone with information should phone police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
