A BOLTON town centre music shop held its annual carol concert.

More than 150 people attended the Booth's Music Annual Carol Concert at the parish church at the weekend.

Colin Liptrot, who works at Booths Music Store, Churchgate, said: "We would like to extend our gratitude to all those who took part and came along to the event for being so generous to the Bolton NHS Donate £1 to Dementia campaign, raising over £365 in donations from collection buckets at the concert.

"The busy church was treated to a performance of favourite carols, performed by students and tutors from Booth's Music, with additional festive songs from a small guitar ensemble, the Booth's Choir and violin virtuoso Istvan Kate.

"The staff here at Booth's would also like to express extra special thanks to Philip Kane at The Friends' Meeting House on Silverwell Street, for allowing us to use their facilities for rehearsal purposes, and John King at Minuteman Press Bolton, for sponsoring the event programmes."
