BOLTON is on a list of the 10 worst places for children under 10 having been admitted to hospital to have decayed teeth removed.
In 2014/15 alone, more than 33,000 children needed teeth taking out.
Bolton was number 10 on the list, with 478 children needing hospital treatment to have teeth removed.
The places with the highest episodes of care for extractions in 2014/15 were Sheffield (1,140), Doncaster (833), Rotherham (798), Liverpool (598) and Bristol (593).
About 128,000 children, aged 10 and under, have been admitted to hospital to have decayed teeth removed since 2011.
