YOUNGSTERS at St Catherine’s CE Primary School were very nearly left speechless when they met their new star teachers for the day.
Bolton Wanderers players Jamie Proctor and Sammy Ameobi were at the Horwich school as part of its celebration of the world’s many different languages.The players explained to children the importance of speaking different languages and how it can help in all walks of life
Karen Graham, headtecher, said: “The children were so excited when they saw the players walk into assembly. The children were really interested in what they had to say about how important learning languages are, the players were so nice and lovely with children. Having the footballer visit was a brilliant launch to our celebration of languages.”
