A FARM that provides "fun, quirky and magical" weddings has been named a county's Wedding Venue of the Year as a newcomer to the scene.
The Wellbeing Farm beat longer-standing and better-known rivals to take the prize at the Lancashire Tourism Awards' gala evening held on Thursday.
Owner Celia Gaze runs the business out of a converted barn at partner Stephen Whitehead's Wheatsheaf Hill Farm in Plantation Road, Edgworth.
Ms Gaze said: "We were up against some big, very established venues so that's really good.
"We're very pleased. It's taken such a lot of work to get this point.
"We offer fun, quirky and magical weddings — it's not your normal hotel wedding experience."
She set up the venture two years ago and has gone from hosting two couples' nuptials in 2014 to 68 next year.
