MOVIEGOERS can get festive in their Fords this month as the UK’s biggest Christmas drive-in cinema arrives in Manchester.

With the world’s biggest outdoor screen, the outdoor cinema festival will be showing some of the most iconic Christmas films, including Elf, Home Alone and Die Hard, at the Old Trafford football ground, from December 21 to 23.

As well as the movie screenings, visitors can enjoy festive food including crepes, a swing BBQ and hot chocolate.

The Manchester Christmas Drive-in was designed to replicate the traditional American drive-in cinemas from the 1950s.

All visitors have to do to enjoy the showing is tune in to the movie through the car radio.

Movies showing on Wednesday, December 21 will be The Muppet Christmas Carol at 1.30pm, Home Alone at 6pm and Elf at 9.30pm.

On Thursday, December 22 it will be Elf at 1.30pm, Home Alone at 6pm and Die Hard at 9.30pm; followed by three showings of Elf, at 1.30pm, 6pm and 9.30pm next Friday.
