PIKES Lane Primary School pupils delivered a traffic-stopping public performance outside the Octagon Theatre on Wednesday.
Christmas shoppers paused to admire the choir’s renditions of pop songs and traditional hymns at 1pm.
The school uses music and the arts to inspire self confidence in pupils.
Creative arts teacher, Alex Bradley, said: “It was brilliant. They have been practising every day and we had a standing audience by the end.”
