PUPILS donned their hard hats to build upon what they had learned in the classroom.

Children from St Paul’s CE Primary School in Astley Bridge visited the nearby Spinning Green development to learn about the importance of site safety in a fun-filled session delivered by developers Taylor Wimpey.

Paul Morgan, assistant head teacher, said: “This has been such a fantastic activity for the children and we are so pleased at how much they all enjoyed and learnt from the experience.

“The site visit was a great way to teach the children about some important topics outside of a traditional classroom environment. The activities were interactive, enjoyable and, judging by the pupil’s faces, they all had a brilliant day out exploring the development!”

This is the second time Taylor Wimpey has partnered with St Paul’s CE Primary School, following a donation of high-visibility wristbands in aid of Walk to School last month.

Chloe Dunn, sales and marketing director, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome the pupils of St Pauls to Spinning Green to show them the importance of safety.

“We firmly believe that children learn by experiencing new environments.”

, and it was wonderful to see them get so involved with all the hands-on activities.”

Spinning Green is situated in the heart of Bolton, and currently features a range of three and four-bedroom homes, from just £176,995.

Mr Morgan said: “On behalf of all of us at St Paul’s CE Primary School, I would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for helping with such an important lesson.

“The pupils had a fantastic time and we look forward to working with Taylor Wimpey again in the future.”
