CHRISTMAS may be but a distant memory for most, but the fun of the festive season was enjoyed a little longer at a Westhoughton primary school.
Schoolchildren at The Gates enjoyed a theatrical performance as part of the school’s The Gates Great Expectations, a programme of enrichment activities.
The school hall was transformed into a theatre and the whole school enjoyed a fairytale performance of Cinderella.
And in line with tradition, there was plenty of audience participation with some youngsters joining the actors of stage to play characters including the musical maestro casting wizardry magic.
Headteacher Karen Forshaw said: “We are definitely inviting them back next year.
“The children have loved it.”
