Three men were arrested after reports of a man wielding a rifle in public.
Police were called to Arlington Street, Great Lever, yesterday morning after being alerted by a concerned member of the public.
About 15 officers, including members of Greater Manchester'a armed response unit, were at the scene.
Three men were later arrested under Section 16a of the Firearms Act.
