A 37-year-old motor-cyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash in Bolton.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened at about 11.30pm on Bradford Road, near to its junction with Broadoak Road, Great Lever.
The 37-year-old from Little Hulton was riding his silver ZY motorcycle towards Farnworth, when it left the carriageway and is believed to have collided with a road sign or lampost.
The man, who was thrown from his bike, was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital with serious head injuries and a fractured leg. He remains in a serious, but stable condition.
