BRIDE Karen Allison made a grand entrance for her big day - arriving at the church in a 12-ton tow truck.
The RAC patrol officer shunned posh limos and vintage cars for her wedding to long-term partner Ian Allison and decided to use the breakdown wagon instead.
Karen, aged 32, is the company's only female breakdown worker and is based at Preston.
She married 33-year-old Ian at All Saints Church, Warrington Road, Glazebury on Friday.
The couple, of Queen's Avenue, Glazebury, have been together for five years and have an two-year-old son, Ewan, as well as Nathaniel, aged 10, who is Karen's son from a previous marriage.
The couple are spending their honeymoon in York.
Karen said: "It was actually my boss's idea to go in the wedding in the truck.
"I thought it was a great idea because it's a bit different and I'm the only female breakdown worker.
"I absolutely love my job and wouldn't swap it for the world."
