YOUNGSTERS braved the freezing weather at a special Girlguiding camp.
The 28th Bolton Guides and Senior Section from Horwich took part in the Sparkle and Ice event near Clitheroe.
They enjoyed different activities including caving and zip lining — as well as putting their skills to the test on an assault course and ice rink.
A spokesman for the group said: “To round off the day, and before settling down in their tents, the girls were treated to a magnificent fireworks display.”
Sparkle and Ice follows on from Girlguiding’s other successful events ‘Magic and Mayhem’, which is held in June, and ‘Wellies and Wristbands’, which takes place in August.
