THE YOUNG people of Little Lever have had quite a lot of bad press over the last few years for vandalism and nuisance crime.
Well, today, folks of the "Village", our children and grandchildren have done us proud. The class of 2007 graduated last week from Little Lever School with their prom night at Bolton Town Hall. They polished up extremely well and were a credit to their families and friends.
My granddaughter Lucy and her friends set off in their stretched limousine, as is the custom these days, and they looked a treat in their long gowns and smart tuxedos. These children will be going off to colleges and jobs in the near future, and I want to, on behalf of the "folks" of Little Lever, wish them well.
Seeing Lucy and her friends standing there in their finery made me proud. We must have done something right, because they have turned out as a good group of "young uns".
Well done, Lucy and all your class mates, and good luck in the future.
Alice More (grandmother) Newbury Road, Little Lever, Bolton
