VOLUNTEERS helped clean up a park as part of international helping hands day.
Despite the rain, 180 people from the Church of Jesus Christ for the Latter-day Saints in Greater Manchester went to Moses Gate Country Park on Saturday to pull out weeds.
The Mayor, Cllr Barbara Ronson, and her consort Cllr Bob Ronson, also lent a hand.
Volunteer Shirley Buckley, aged 57, from Bank Top, Bolton, said: "There were events all over the country, doing work in the community to help make a difference.
"It was an excellent turn out considering the wet weather but people got into the spirit of things and enjoyed themselves."
