LIBRARY visitors became mad scientists for a day as Make Stuff returned to Breightmet.

Children and parents of all ages and abilities attended the event at Breightmet Library to try their hands at various scientific activities.

As well as coding and exploring Minecraft, visitors tested their soldering skills, tried out 3D printing and even created their own sewn circuits using conductive thread and LEDs.

Run by Mad Lab, a non-for-profit digital innovation organisation, the session on Saturday included some of Manchester’s best homegrown creative tech, marking National Science Week.

Mad Lab supports a diverse range of communities and activities by holding monthly meet-ups and courses through to public experimentation with new and emerging technologies as well as collaborating with others to deliver projects.
