NEW Bury and Farnworth Amateur Boxing Club fighter, Cory Lowe, had a debut victory when he fought at the last show of the amateur boxing season at Lowton Civic Centre.
The 15-year-old from Kearsley proved far too strong for host club Centurions ABC's T. Aspinall.
Cory let fly with a barrage of strong punches from the bell and the pressure forced his opponent into having a standing count in the second round and almost being stopped in the third.
Club-mate Joe Kirkpatrick, aged 11 also had his first fight and went down to a points defeat to D. Wright from Boarshaw ABC after an impressive display of controlled boxing.
Jake Barrick also suffered defeat to J. Aston from Shotton ABC after another close fight.
