A COUPLE who wanted to fell two lime trees in the back garden of their Westhoughton home have been given the go-ahead to cut one down.
Rebecca and Jeff Bridge, of Churnet Close, claimed the trees were diseased and could be dangerous in high winds.
Their application had been recommended for refusal by Westhoughton Town Council, but Bolton Council's planning committee approved the removal of the tree nearest their house.
