ENGINEERING giant Rolls-Royce boasted "encouraging" trading underpinned by a raft of new orders for its aerospace division.

The Bristol-based company's aerospace business unveiled a bumper haul of orders with a list value of £7.5 billion during last month's Paris air show.

The company will post interim results at the end of July after unveiling underlying pre-tax profits of £705 million for 2006 in February. Analysts predict full-year profits of up to £820 million for the group in 2007.
