THE family of a man who was found stabbed to death after a fire in Clifton has paid tribute to him.
Emergency services were called to a property in Berry Street in Clifton at 12.35am to reports of a fire.
Following a search by firefighters, the body of 47-year-old Thomas Jones was discovered inside the property.
A Home Office post-mortem concluded that he died from multiple stab wounds.
The family said in a statement: “Tom was a vibrant man who lived his life the way he wanted and certainly made an impression. He always had a passion for music and was quite an adept drummer.
“Tom will be sadly missed and would have wanted good times to be remembered by all who knew him. Now reunited with his mother and father he will always be remembered by his children, sisters and nieces and nephews who he leaves behind. Rest in peace.”
