THE owner of a former golf clubhouse said he would be securing the building after youths congregated there over recent weekends.
The building, on Longsight Road, Harwood, has become a magnet for gangs of youths from all over Bolton after it is believed something was posted on Facebook.
Around 50 were said to have congregated there.
Fires have also been set in the area of the derelict former golf clubhouse
Local councillors have been working closely with the emergency servies, and this week Bolton Council issued a Section 79 Order for it be repaired or demolished.
Robin Day, owner, said that he would be working with the council in light of the weekend events.
He said: "We are working with the council to look at making repairs to the building and securing it."
Mr Day added that there had been interest in buying and developing the land which, once planning issues had been resolved, would lead to the building being demolished.
Since the weekend incidents, in which wheelie bins were set alight, residents have notice a high profile police presence in the area.
