Six people evacuated their Beddington Corner homes following a fire above a store on Sunday morning.
Twenty firefighters were called to a flat above Signright Graphics Ltd, in Goat Road, at 1.43am on, April 23.
Residents living above and adjacent to the shop left their homes before four fire engines from Mitcham, Wallington and Norbury arrived.
A man, who lived above the store, was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters put the blaze out at about 2.37am.
The first-floor flat and loft conversion were badly damaged during the fire.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is being carried out.
