A MAN was given a community order and told to pay compensation after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual assault.

Shahrame Mahmoudi, aged 20, was sentenced at Bolton Magistrates’ Court.

He had pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to two counts of sexual touching without consent and one count of assault.

All of the offences took place in March this year.

Mahmoudi, of Longcauseway in Farnworth, must obey a six-month curfew to be at his home address between 7pm and 7am each day and will be electronically monitored and must also carry out unpaid work for 120 hours.

The curfew will run until November 1 this year.

Mahmoudi was also placed on the sex offenders register as a result of having committed the offences.

He was also ordered to pay compensation of £250 and will do so by paying £5 per week from June 1.
