PROTECTING pharmacies would help secure the long-term future of the NHS, according to the Lib Dems.
Bolton West candidate Rebecca Forrest says that government cuts would severely damage the “vital” community services.
She added: “The extra value they add can be used to ease the pressure on frontline NHS services, yet Theresa May and the Conservatives simply don’t care that the cuts they are imposing will lead to suffering and greater health inequalities.
“Only the Lib Dems plan of a penny on income tax, specifically dedicated to health and social care, looks to the long term future of the health and care system.”
