THE studio which inked Olivia Campbell-Hardy's family has so far raised more than £11,000 as a result of the Manchester Tattoo Appeal.

Jeff Robinson, who runs Skin City Tattoo Studio is a good friend of Olivia's mum, Charlotte Campbell and step-dad, Paul Hodgson and tattooed bees over their hearts in Olivia's memory.

Since then, Mr Robinson and fellow Skin City artist, Scott Scholes have been tattooing hundreds of bees.

The appeal was started in the days after the Manchester Arena terror attack and quickly garnered support on Facebook, the official tattoo appeal's Just Giving page has collected £198,845 of donations so far.

Initially Mr Robinson had intended to give all the money to Olivia's family, but he said: "I have taken so much money that I decided to split it half to the family and half to the charity fund.

"I couldn't not give to the charity. I didn't expect it to be this big."

Some of the people who came through Skin City's doors were at the Arena when the attack happened or had family there.

Both Ms Campbell and Mr Hodgson visited the shop on Sunday and Mr Robinson said: "They could barely get in the shop there were so many people.

I'm glad it's worked out this way and I can share the money to both causes."

He added he still thought he'd be able to raise more and said he thinks interest in the tattoos will last for weeks.

Local artist Tommy Maloney pitched in on Sunday, doing his bit for the cause.

Mr Maloney, aged 26, runs Vault Tattoo in Bradshawgate but his private studio is too small to accommodate the large numbers, which were expected to turn out for the bee tattoos but he still wanted to pitch in.

He said: "It was amazing. It was manic on the day, there were people waiting for two hours and the atmosphere was electric.

"Everyone had a smile even though it was for a sad reason."
